Arbitration

Arbitration is a private legal hearing outside the judicial court. Arbitration is usually a voluntary dispute resolution technique in which the parties agree that the outcome of the arbitration will be binding and as a result put an end to the dispute. The dispute is then resolved by way of an independent adjudicator whose decision by the agreement will be final and binding on the parties.

Arbitration has grown in popularity as it resolves the legal matter between the parties in a much shorter time period compared to normal court proceedings. It is specifically popular in commercial disputes in which the independent adjudicator can be chosen and is often an expert in the field related to the dispute.
